Protect Your Home Without Waiting for a Pest Problem to Get Worse

A few ants around the kitchen, scratching sounds in the basement ceiling, or a mouse spotted near the garage may seem like small issues. But pest activity can be frustrating, and the right response often starts with understanding where the pests are coming from and what is attracting them.

Vanish Pest Control created the Home Protection Plan to give eligible homeowners a practical way to plan for covered pest-control needs throughout the year. The advertised membership is $49 per month and includes up to five service visits per membership year for covered pests, subject to inspection, the written agreement, treatment limits, and exclusions.

The goal is straightforward: make it easier to discuss pest concerns early, understand your options and budget for eligible services rather than treating every new concern as a completely unexpected expense. We explain what we find, what we recommend, and what the membership actually covers before you agree to join.

No responsible pest-control provider can promise that a home will never experience another pest issue. What we can do is assess the situation, explain suitable options, and help you make an informed decision based on your property and the written terms.

The Plan at a Glance

01

$49 per month for the advertised Home Protection Plan membership.

02

Up to five service visits per membership year for covered pests—not unlimited visits or unlimited treatments.

03

Covered household pest categories may include ants, spiders, earwigs, silverfish, centipedes, millipedes, specified nuisance insects, wasps and hornets, mice and rats, cockroaches, and bed bugs, subject to the signed agreement.

04

A home inspection is required before the membership agreement is signed, so eligibility, current activity, and any limitations can be discussed.

05

Automatic monthly payments are collected using the payment method you authorize, according to the written agreement and any applicable taxes disclosed before signing.

06

Ask about available invoice-financing options for separately quoted eligible services, including third-party options where available and approved.

Eligible termite or wildlife services may qualify for a 20% savings offer when you provide a comparable written quote from a recognized pest-control provider for the same property and scope of work. Vanish must confirm eligibility and the final price in writing.

07

The plan is governed by the written membership agreement. Do not assume that every pest, treatment method, repeat visit, repair, or specialist service is included in the $49 monthly payment.

Is the Home Protection Plan Available in Your City?

The Vanish Home Protection Plan is currently active only in Southwestern Ontario, focused on Woodstock, London, and surrounding communities. We plan to expand to additional cities in the future, but the plan is not currently available everywhere Vanish may provide other services.

Areas we may be able to serve include Woodstock, London, Ingersoll, Tillsonburg, Norwich, Thamesford, Tavistock, Innerkip, Embro, Bright, Beachville, Burgessville, Sweaburg, Kintore, St. Thomas, Aylmer, Dorchester, Komoka, Mount Brydges, Strathroy, Lucan, Thorndale, Belmont and St. Marys. Availability depends on the exact property address, the route, the pest concern and service capacity. This list is a guide, not a guarantee that every address qualifies.

If you live outside these areas, please contact us rather than assuming the plan is available. We can confirm current eligibility and let you know if the plan expands to your city. We will update this page when additional service areas are officially included.

Not sure if your address is covered? Call 877-611-8855. We will confirm your location before you commit.

How the Home Protection Plan Works

01

Start with a home inspection.

Before you sign up, Vanish inspects the home to the extent needed to assess current pest activity, the property’s suitability, and the services that may be appropriate. The inspection is also an opportunity to discuss what you have noticed and ask questions.

02

Review your coverage in plain language.

We explain the covered pest categories, the maximum number of visits, relevant preparation requirements, exclusions, and services that may need a separate quote. Ask us to clarify anything that is unclear before signing.

03

Review the written terms and payment details.

The advertised membership is $49 per month. Your agreement should set out the billing arrangement, membership period, visit allowance, coverage and applicable conditions. Any applicable taxes and charges should be disclosed before you sign.

04

Arrange covered service when needed.

If you notice a covered pest concern, contact Vanish so we can discuss the issue and determine the appropriate next step under your plan. The type of pest, severity, access, and property conditions may affect the treatment approach.

05

Discuss prevention and follow-up.

A visit may include recommendations to reduce conditions that attract pests. Structural repairs, sealing openings, cleanup, restoration, or other work is included only if the written agreement or a separate quote expressly says so.

Which Pests May Be Covered?

Coverage is determined by inspection and the signed agreement. The categories below are examples of covered household pest services that may be available under the plan; they are not a promise that every species, infestation, or treatment method is included.

Ants

Ants may appear in kitchens, bathrooms, around foundations, or near patios as they search for food, moisture, or shelter. Correct identification and understanding the activity pattern can help determine the appropriate response. The technician may also point out conditions that could be contributing to the problem.

Spiders

Spiders are often noticed in basements, garages, storage areas, and around windows. The appropriate approach depends on the species, the extent of activity and whether other insects are present. Reducing clutter and addressing access or harbourage areas may be useful parts of prevention.

Earwigs, silverfish, centipedes, millipedes and specified nuisance insects

These pests can be associated with damp areas, cracks, storage spaces or outdoor conditions around the home. Coverage depends on the specific pest and the written list of included services. If you are unsure what you have found, describe it or provide a photo when contacting Vanish.

Wasps and hornets

Wasps and hornets may build nests beneath eaves, around sheds, decks, or other sheltered locations. Access, nest location, safety considerations, and the treatment method may limit what can be done under the membership. Do not disturb an active nest if you may be allergic or cannot safely access the area.

Mice and rats

Rodents can contaminate food, damage materials, and chew some wiring or insulation. A useful response may involve identifying activity, locating likely entry points and discussing sanitation or exclusion measures. The membership is subject to its rodent-control limits; sealing entry points, construction work and repairs are not automatically included.

Cockroaches

Cockroaches can hide near plumbing, appliances, kitchens and moisture sources. Treatment can depend on the level of activity, the property layout and preparation requirements. In multi-unit buildings, activity in neighbouring units may affect results, so the plan’s visit allowance should not be mistaken for a guarantee of complete eradication.

Bed bugs

Bed bug service is included only to the extent specifically described in your signed plan. Bed bug treatment may require careful preparation, a defined treatment protocol, and follow-up. Before enrolling, confirm the treatment method, preparation instructions, how visits are counted, what follow-up is included, and whether additional treatment could cost extra.

Important Limits: What the $49 Membership Does Not Automatically Include

The Home Protection Plan is not an unlimited-treatment package. Five visits are the maximum annual allowance for covered services, not a promise that every infestation will be resolved within five visits. Some situations require preparation, specialist methods, extra visits, or work outside the membership.

Unless expressly included in the signed agreement, the following may require a separate written quote and additional payment: termite treatment; wildlife removal; structural repairs; sealing entry points; insulation replacement; cleanup or restoration; severe or pre-existing infestations; and specialist services not listed as covered.

Wildlife removal is not automatically included in the $49 monthly fee. Eligible termite or wildlife services may qualify for the 20% savings offer only when you provide a comparable written quote from a recognized pest-control provider for the same property and scope of work, and Vanish confirms eligibility and the final price in writing. Ask what the comparison must include and whether labour, materials, exclusion work, or repairs are within the quoted scope.

The written agreement should also clarify whether repeat visits for the same pest count toward the annual allowance, whether a visit covers more than one pest category, how severe or existing infestations are handled, and whether any extra charges could apply. Please ask before signing rather than relying on assumptions.

Flexible Ways to Pay a Separately Quoted Invoice

We understand that an urgent pest problem can arrive at an inconvenient time. For eligible, separately quoted services, ask Vanish whether invoice-financing or buy-now-pay-later options are currently available. Potential third-party providers may include Affirm, Klarna, or Afterpay where available.

These providers are independent third parties. Availability depends on merchant approval and setup, the service and invoice being eligible, and the provider’s current terms. Do not assume a provider can be used for your invoice until Vanish confirms it. Approval is not guaranteed, and payment schedules, eligibility checks, interest, fees, down payments, and other terms vary by provider and offer.

Review all provider terms before accepting financing. Financing a specific treatment invoice is separate from the $49/month Home Protection Plan membership: financing an invoice does not automatically enrol you in the membership, and paying the membership fee does not automatically finance additional services.

Ask about current payment options when you call 877-611-8855. We will explain what is available for your service before you decide.

Automatic Payments, Missed Payments and Cancellation

Membership payments are collected automatically using the payment method you authorize, according to the written agreement. Before enrolling, review the membership period, billing dates, any applicable taxes, how to update your payment method, and the process for requesting cancellation.

If a payment is declined or missed, Vanish may suspend service or terminate the membership in accordance with the written agreement and applicable Ontario law. Any notice, balance owing, cancellation, and refund will be handled under the agreement and applicable legal requirements. Charges for services properly provided are not refundable except where required by law or expressly agreed in writing. Nothing in the plan removes cancellation or refund rights provided by Ontario law.

Please ask us to explain any payment or cancellation term you do not understand. We want you to know what you are agreeing to before the membership begins.

Why Homeowners Choose a Prevention-Focused Approach

A home does not need to be dirty or poorly maintained to experience pest activity. Mice can enter through small openings; ants may find a food or moisture source; and insects can appear because of seasonal conditions or activity around the property. The important first step is to understand what is happening at your home.

A practical pest assessment may consider where and when activity occurs, droppings or nests, visible damage, possible entry points, food and water sources, and whether the issue appears isolated or may involve other areas. Where appropriate, integrated pest management can combine inspection, monitoring, sanitation recommendations, exclusion advice and carefully selected treatments.

The Home Protection Plan is designed to make eligible pest-control service needs easier to plan for. It does not mean every future pest concern is free, nor does it remove the need for a separate quote when the work falls outside the written coverage. We believe clear expectations are a better foundation for trust than exaggerated promises.
